Audré here! Alright, I have "unauthorised" access to the LDS blog! Hehe. (Nat and Bernie are so gonna kill me. x.x)

Well guys, I can't play with colours and fonts like they can, so people, SQUINT your eyes if you must.

Anyway, enough of the hoo-haas. I'm here to tell you guys there's a interschool gavel competition coming up. For those who went for the Gavel summit, you guys should know about this, yeah? It's in this MAY and yeah, to somewhat join the competition, we need a proper gavel club and join the Toastmasters International, so that we can be considered a "proper" club.

The competition is coming soon, but I've yet to confirm the details. I'll inform you guys once I know about it. Anyway, Mrs Tan told me to choose a few people in the Gavel committee. I've already sent me, Charmaine's and Saajidah's name down as Gavel President, Vice President of Publicity and Vice Education respectively. Gavel club and LDS committees are different... So yeah. But GAVEL STILL FALLS UNDER LDS, DON'T GET THIS WRONG. That means everyone who's in LDS has to fulfill the "D" part of "LDS", and everyone who's in LDS is joining gavel.

After sitting through the first meeting, I hope you guys have a feel of a how a gavel club session is conducted. Still, there's room for improvement... Gavel is not something you have to be good or eloquent in your speech. It's to help you be a better speaker. Just by taking the first step, with a table topic or an "ice breaker", would help build up your courage and gradually, you'll be able to communicate more effeciently and effectively. I guarantee you money back if it doesn't work. (Ok, Lame joke. But you get the picture.)

I know I sound like a "lao ah mah", but yeah... Give gavel a shot. ;)

Erm, we're also hoping to have bonding camps during the holidays... So look forward to that! :D

And... Oh! The sec 4s farewell party... WE NEED IDEAS! Haha. Contribute 'em on the taggy and stuff. We have no budget on the food, which means we have to fork it out. The presents and stuff the school can fork out for us. Hehe. So yeah, contribute some ideas, alright? We wanna give a nice party for our beloved sec 4s!
